Social Welfare
Social welfare department offers social welfare services to marginalized groups like elders, children, people with dis-abilities, survivors of gender based violence (GBV) and violence against children (VAC) , people with chronic illness, drug addicted clients as well as all people who are in need.
The social welfare department is located nearby community pharmacy opposite with CTC building.
Under Social Welfare ,we have a one stop center for gender based violence and violence against children (GBV/VAC) which offers all necessary services to the survivors of GBV/VAC like medical , legal help, as well as social welfare services like psycho-social counseling.
Department has four service rooms where two rooms offers social welfare services, one room offers medical treatment for the survivors of GBV/VAC, and another room for legal help (Police, gender and children Desk).
Social Welfare services are multi-disciplinary which involves all departments in the hospital . We have special two service rooms allocated in mental health department, which is dedicated to offer social welfare services particularly psycho-social and behavioral therapy to drug addicted clients.
In providing social welfare services to inpatient clients , we conduct social ward rounds as well as cooperating in major ward rounds.
Department has well trained staffs in different cadres including, social welfare officers, medical officers, nurses, and police officer.
In operating day to day activities . social welfare departments adhere to laws , policies, guidelines and standard operating procedures (child law act (2009) , health policy (2004) , cost sharing guideline (2015) etc. )

In social welfare department we facilitate medical exemptions to marginalized groups (Special groups) in accordance to National Health Policy (2007) and Cost Sharing Guideline (2015).
